New Raven trail map

A new trail map has just been installed at the Raven Nature Reserve in Wexford. It promotes the main stone trail of just under 7km which goes through the forest adjoining Curracloe beach and the Slob lands of the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve. The trail has a minimal gradient, with seating areas provided along the route, and is marked by red waymarking arrows. The Reserve remains closed

The Reserve, Visitor Centre, hides and car park all remain closed at this time. We currently have no date for our reopening but will inform you as soon as we have any firm details. Staff are still working, on and off site, and can be contacted by email, mobile or through our facebook page.

Bealtaine Living Earth Festival 2020

It's the Living Earth Festival from May 16th to 24th but obviously this year we can't hold events down at the Centre. If you go to the menu at the top of the page, under activities you'll find a couple of quizzes to test your knowledge. Answers to the mammal quiz will be given next Sunday, at the end of the festival.

Access to National Parks and Nature Reserves

Ear to the Ground

On Tuesday 17th December we had a film crew from RTE filming for a forthcoming episode of Ear to the Ground here at the Reserve and around the North Slob. The weather was extremely bright and dry so certainly showed the surroundings and the birds off really well. We don't have a definite date yet for the airing of the programme but once we do we'll put the information up here and on Facebook.
